Hi, I'm Julie.

I am a passionate storyteller based in New York with great sourcing and data skills.

I recently completed my internship at Bloomberg News, breaking (exclusive) stories in the cybersecurity and technology beats. I graduated from Columbia University with an M.S. degree in Data Journalism. Here is my data story portfolio website, which I built with code.

I am also a feminist, a dancer, and a big foodie!!!

About Me

I am an early-career journalist with a Master’s in Data Journalism from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism.

I am committed to journalism because I recognize the critical role it plays in providing reliable information, enabling individuals to comprehend the world and expand their awareness. Data represents a valuable resource for uncovering hidden truths and engaging audiences with compelling visualizations. My career goal is to deliver crystal-clear and accurate information to help people make informed decisions and voice minority opinions.

With my strong reporting, writing, and data visualization skills, I will be able to serve as a bridge, helping my audience connect with the world, fostering positivity across different groups, and shedding light on social justice issues to contribute to a more equitable society.
